Ingredients
  • 4 inch pork chops ¾-1thick
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 Tblsp. butter
  • 1 8 oz. package herb stuffing mix about 2 cups
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp. dried oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 8 oz. can pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • sliced mushrooms olives, peppers –optional
Instructions
  1. In a small skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until tender.
  2. Add stuffing mix and water, toss to coat.
  3. Pour stuffing evenly into the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Arrange pork chops on top of stuffing.
  5. Sprinkle each chop with salt and pepper and a shake of oregano.
  6. Spoon pizza sauce over chops. Arrange other toppings if desired.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese and cover tightly with foil.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or 325 degrees for 75 to 90 minutes.
