Susan’s Famous Homemade Pizza Sauce
1-6 oz. can tomato paste
¾ cups warm water
3 Tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/8 cup honey
¾ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
¼ teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
Salt to taste
Combine all ingredients and mix together, breaking up any clumps of cheese.
Sauce should sit for 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
Make MORE and make it easy: Multiply ingredients dry by 8 and store in the refrigerator.
When you’re ready to use the sauce, mix together wet ingredients and add one tablespoon of premixed dry ingredients to complete the sauce.
~ One of the BEST recipes I’ve ever posted.
~ The secret’s in the sauce! Susan said it best: “I was looking for a new recipe to serve my family and came up with this concoction one night…it was a big hit. One of our favorites, yummo! The sauce is scrumptious and great for pizzas too!”
~ Need a party snack? Make the meat mixture into meatballs. Keep them warm in a crockpot with the sauce added or served on the side as a dipping sauce.
