Ingredients
  • Cake
  • cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup sugar
  • 6 Tblsp. soft butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1⅓ cups sour cream
  • 3 inch firm ripe, Bosc pears –peeled, cored and diced into 1pieces
  • Streusle topping
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 Tblsp. soft butter
  • cup chopped walnuts toasted
  • In a small bowl add all streusel ingredients except nuts. Mix together with a fork until crumbly.
  • Add nuts toss to mix and set aside.
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together sugar and butter with mixer until well blended.
  3. Increase speed to high and beat until creamy.
  4. Lower speed and add eggs one at a time, blending as you go.
  5. Add vanilla and blend.
  6. With the mixer at low speed, alternate adding flour and sour cream to sugar mixture - starting and ending with flour, beat until just smooth. Fold in pears.
  7. Pour batter into a prepared 9 X 13 inch pan and spread out evenly.
  8. Sprinkle with streusel mixture.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
