Ingredients
Meatballs
  • 1½ lbs. ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • ½ cup half & half
  • 1 small onion, finally chopped
  • 1½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
Sauce
  • 1 can condensed beef broth, undiluted
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tblsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup coarse gingersnap crumbs
Instructions
  1. ♦ Mix meatball ingredients together and shape into meatballs.
    ♦ Bake meatballs on a foil covered jelly roll pan at 325 degrees. 20 to 30 minutes worked for meatballs that were walnut to golf ball sized, adjust time if you make larger ones.
  2. ♦ In a large skillet, mix sauce ingredients together and simmer until thickened.
    ♦ Gently stir in meatball and simmer for 20 minutes.
    ♦ Or pour sauce over meatballs in a Crock-pot and set on low until time to serve.
  3. ♦ Serve with toothpicks as an appetizer or this recipe makes a delicious dinner served with mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable dish.
