Ingredients
  • 1 9 oz. package ‘None Such’ Classic Original Condensed Mincemeat foil package
  • cups water
  • 1 Macintosh apple peeled, cored, minced
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¾ cup walnuts
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 Tblsp. Brandy optional
Instructions
  1. single crust 9 inch pie shell, unbaked
  2. In a small sauce pan, break up the block of mincemeat with a fork.
  3. Add water and heat to a simmer, stir and cook until reconstituted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter to melt, then apple bits, walnuts, sugar and salt.
  5. It should be cooled enough to stir in eggs, and Brandy if wanted.
  6. Blend until smooth and pour into pie shell.
  7. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. When you put the pie into the oven, turn heat down to
  8. 375 degrees and bake for about 45 minutes, until crust is done and center of pie is set.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
