Ingredients
- Mix:
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 -4 ounce can diced green chilies drained
- 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet onion
Instructions
- Shape into patties and grill to desired doneness.
- Top each with your favorite cheese - Cheddar, Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack
- Serve on toasted Kaiser rolls or hamburger buns, topped with bright red, yellow and orange bell peppers, sliced into rings; lettuce, tomato . . . and consider salsa, or maybe ranch dressing, instead of catsup for a little extra kick!
- Firecracker Burgers with Cooling Lime Sauce

- Mix
- 1 ½ lbs. ground chuck
- 1 Tblsp. curry powder
- 1 Tblsp. Caribbean jerk seasoning
- 1 tsp. salt
- Combine ground chuck and seasonings, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape
- into four patties and grill over medium, ash-covered coals to desired doneness.
- Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1 Tblsp. fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp. grated lime peel
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Spread sauce on cut sides of 4 sesame seed sandwich rolls that have been toasted.
- Place a burger on bottom half of each roll; top with mixed greens. ENJOY!
