Ingredients
  • Mix:
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 -4 ounce can diced green chilies drained
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet onion
Instructions
  1. Shape into patties and grill to desired doneness.
  2. Top each with your favorite cheese - Cheddar, Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack
  3. Serve on toasted Kaiser rolls or hamburger buns, topped with bright red, yellow and orange bell peppers, sliced into rings; lettuce, tomato . . . and consider salsa, or maybe ranch dressing, instead of catsup for a little extra kick!
  4. Firecracker Burgers with Cooling Lime Sauce
  5. From the Texas Beef Council
  6. Mix
  7. 1 ½ lbs. ground chuck
  8. 1 Tblsp. curry powder
  9. 1 Tblsp. Caribbean jerk seasoning
  10. 1 tsp. salt
  11. Combine ground chuck and seasonings, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape
  12. into four patties and grill over medium, ash-covered coals to desired doneness.
  13. Sauce
  14. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  15. 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  16. 1 Tblsp. fresh lime juice
  17. 2 tsp. grated lime peel
  18. 1/4 tsp. salt
  19. Spread sauce on cut sides of 4 sesame seed sandwich rolls that have been toasted.
  20. Place a burger on bottom half of each roll; top with mixed greens. ENJOY!
