Chicken Gyros All of the white meat from a deli rotisserie chicken, no skin, shredded

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. whole wheat flatbread or 6 pita pocket halves
  • Sauce Make this first and I double it!
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup finely chopped cucumber (peeled seeded)
  • ¼ cup light sour cream
  • 1 tsp. in jarred minced garlicoil
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. dried dill
  • salt and pepper
  • Marinade:
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 Tblsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. in jarred minced garlicoil
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. . onion powder
Instructions
  1. You’ll also need:
  2. lettuce (optional)
  3. tomato, diced or sliced in thin wedges
  4. red onion, sliced thin
  5. cucumber slices
  6. In a small bowl, mix sauce ingredients, set aside in the refrigerator.
  7. In a non-stick skillet, combine marinade ingredients.
  8. Add chicken and brown lightly.
  9. Heat bread in microwave. Top bread or fill pockets with chicken, sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumber slices and onion. It’s good!
