Beef Pepper Steak

Ingredients
  • 1 pound steak, cut into thin strips (sirloin, flank, round steak)
  • 1 tsp. Montreal Steak seasoning
  • 2 Tbls. butter
  • 2 Tbls. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 2 Tblsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tblsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. Sea salt or seasoned salt
Instructions
  1. ♦ Hot cooked rice or cauliflower rice, optional
  2. ♦ In a small bowl, blend broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper, set aside.
  3. ♦ Slice beef in thin slices and season with Steak seasoning.
    ♦ In a large nonstick skillet or wok, melt butter with oil, stir-fry garlic for 1 minute. Add the beef.
    ♦ Stir-fry for 4-6 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove beef and cover to keep warm.
  4. ♦ Add onions, peppers and mushrooms to the skillet, stir-fry until veggies are tender crisp.
    ♦ Return beef to pan and stir broth mixture. Bring to a simmer and cook and stir until sauce is thickened and beef is hot.
