Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 cup quick or old fashioned oatmeal
  • 1 cup raisins or frozen blueberries or other dried fruit here
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • cup ½ to 1sugar brown sugar, brown sugar twin, or splenda
  • 1 tblsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 chopped apple... peel on is ok
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or more
  • optional 1 tsp. maple flavoring if not using brown sugar
Instructions
  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. mix everything together in a greased 1 quart casserole.
  3. bake uncovered for around 30 minutes or until milk is absorbed.
  4. serve with milk. makes 3-4 servings.
Terri's Notes

- Hearty, healthy, great start for cold winter mornings!
- Do add dried fruit and nuts before or after baking, add cinnamon, nutmeg, or top with fresh fruit, chopped nuts, and coconut.
- Can easily be refrigerated and reheated.
